Born out of a desire to challenge the norm in traditional hunting gear, JX3 Outdoors was created to produce cutting edge products that provide practical solutions to address hunter safety, comfort, mobility, and versatility, through innovative engineering and creative design.
What started in the late eighties with building and hunting from traditional climbers, lock-ons, and ladder stands and an understanding of their limitations, led to the search for something different. That something was JX3 Outdoors founder John Reed’s first introduction to saddle hunting in 2005. A safe mobile style of saddle hunting and saddle hunting gear that improved or eliminated most of the issues found with the use traditional hunting tree stands.
Fast forward to 2017 and with the development of their game changing JX3 Hybrid Saddle, a complete saddle hunting system with all the benefits of traditional saddles plus a built-in seat design for extreme comfort which also converts into a hunting pack system and ground chair. Co-owners John Reed and Donald Cartledge have built JX3 Outdoors into a saddle hunting industry leader.
